Our company was founded in 2003 as Akal Investments and commenced consulting activities in 2012 with a focus on tax emigration.
Our business ethos is to ensure that our clients’ receive value add through personal attention by professional staff who are diligent and experienced in the services offered. We “aim for results’’ that are financially effective to ensure maximum returns for individuals, sole proprietors, companies and CCs as well as trusts.

Our "Plus" Service
is a comprehensive service for individuals and families wishing to formally emigrate financially from the Republic of South Africa, be they inside the country, or have already relocated abroad.
Over the years we have built a comprehensive and diverse clientele including individuals (salary earners, investors, lenders, importers, tenderers, taxpayers with interests local and abroad), professionals (such as specialist doctors) and businesses (manufacturing, property, construction, restaurants, retirement homes).

MEET THE TEAM
Fred Akal CA (SA)
Tax Practitioner
Fred studied B Com Accounting (Honours) at the University of Kwa Zulu Natal in Durban. His qualifications include CA(SA) and he is a member of SAICA and a SARS practitioner. He specializes in accounting and tax with many years of work experience in banking, accounting, shipping and property investments. He was a senior University Lecturer and a Course leader in Distance Learning nationally. He is the author of 2 books on Accounting Standards, has co-authored several books on Accounting and presented technical seminars and workshops relating to business legislation.
He started Akal Consulting Services in 2012 and is the current Owner and Director.
Tammy Eman
Payroll Manager
Tammy has many years’ experience in HR and payroll, keeping up to date by attending seminars and courses in payroll software and labour law. She has in depth knowledge of Pastel payroll and specialises in leading software, Sage VIP.
She has extensive experience with all the stakeholders involved in the full spectrum of Human Resources and Payroll maintenance and the continuing changes of the Labour legislations, such as, South African Revenue Services, Workman’s Compensation, CIPC, CCMA and the Labour Department.
Tammy has been with Akal Consulting Services for over 5 years as the the Payroll and Human Resources Manager.

Mel Loumeau
Tax Practitioner
Mel studied at Natal Technikon (CIS – Chartered Institute of Secretaries). She has more than 35 years’ experience in bookkeeping and accounting – including 25 years as financial manager in a corporate environment. She is a registered tax practitioner and a member of the SAIT (S.A. Institute of Tax Professionals). After retiring from her corporate job, Mel joined Akal Consulting at the beginning of 2017, and is a proactive and passionate member of the team.
Kashnee has over five years’ experience as a payroll assistant and creditors' clerk with extensive knowledge in the preparation of financial statements, Sage Pastel payroll and Pastel accounting. She is currently learning Sage VIP and completing her BCom accounting degree at Unisa part time. At ACS Plus she has added Financial Emigration to her skills set.
