What information do I need to provide?
We will supply you with a questionnaire that each employee must fill in and submit together with the relevant documentation requested. Some of the information on the questionnaire is sensitive, but this is required by SARS for the employee IRP5.
What is your pricing structure?
We are a SAGE VIP partner. We charge per person, per month – and competitively. Quotes are dependent on the number of staff in a payroll, and the time required each month for changes to the payroll information (be it time records, leave, bonuses or staff recruitment/ loss).
Are there any hidden fees - example: start-up costs?
We pride ourselves on transparency and present a quote outlining the various activities that affect a payroll – from initial take-on, to restructuring a payroll into departments, to monthly regular activity, to change control (staff movement), to leave pay provisions, to consulting (SARS, UIF, Workmen’s Compensation). These are comprehensive and cover our time worked.
We also work to timesheets and record all activities. These form an addendum to billing and are available for clients to review.
Who is responsible for ensuring staff are registered for income tax?
The employer currently has an obligation to deduct or withhold employees’ tax from the remuneration and pay the tax deducted or withheld to the South African Revenue Service (SARS) on a monthly basis.
How does ACS Plus handle payroll taxes?
We submit returns to the relevant bodies on time, after employers have reviewed and authorised these. We work to a 16-step procedure manual to complete monthly returns. Once filed, clients are alerted as to what taxes to pay, when to pay these by, the relevant SARS account to settle and the correct PRN reference number.
At the preference of some clients, we also action the payment instruction from SARS e-Filing, so that they can authorise the transaction on their banking profiles.
Our software includes core HR services, performance management, onboarding, and time and attendance.
Our payroll system has a built in system that supports tax data with regional requirements and tax structures. We always have accurate employee withholding and our software provides automated tax table updates.
We take care of all SARS tax compliance requirements, monthly, quarterly and annual filings.
